Way to Go, Riley!

Congratulations to Riley Larsen, the son of Laughlin board member Doug Larsen and wife Katie! Riley is an eighth grade, student-athlete from Sewickley Academy who has been selected to participate in the 2013 Brine National Lacrosse Classic! His selection will enable him to represent the Mid-West and Ohio regions at this Classic held during this year's 2013 Brine All-Star Lacrosse Academy in Boyds, Maryland from June 30th to July 3rd.

This competition brings the top middle school lacrosse players in the country to train and play together at one venue. Regional teams will compete for the ultimate 2013 National Championship while being coached by NCAA lacrosse coaches.

According to the National Lacrosse Academy website:
Lacrosse, the fastest-growing sport in the country, combines some of the best aspects of other sports into one sport, allowing players of all sizes and skill sets the ability to compete.
The Brine National All-Star Lacrosse Academy offers middle school boys currently in grades 6-8 with an opportunity to test their skills and capability against other players in a well-structured format that combines individual drill competition and game play. Players that demonstrate the highest level of potential at each tryout will attend the Brine National All-Star Lacrosse Academy in Maryland, June 30 - July 3, 2013.
Laughlin Children's Center is proud to recognize this young man's talent that awarded him this honored opportunity at such a young age! Good luck to you and great work already, Riley!
