If a child cannot learn the way I teach, then I must teach the way he learns.

Sewickley Schools Give and Achieve!

Between Sewickley Academy and Quaker Valley School District, this community has some pretty incredible schools.  Some recent news is proof of that!

Quaker Valley School District took the number 8 spot in this year's Pittsburgh Business Times' Guide to Western Pennsylvania Schools. The rankings consider 105 schools in the region and are based upon three years of cumulative PSSA scores in reading, math, and science.  This is the second year in a row that Quaker Valley has placed in the Top 10! Congrats to the staff and students on such an amazing accomplishment!

Last week, Sewickley Academy held its second annual school-wide Day of Service. This day involved student-led, volunteer service projects on campus, such as tending the Academy's Secret Garden in Edgeworth; early-childhood student participation in "Hugs for Veterans"; and work for Homeless Children's Education Fund in conjunction with the Summerbridge Program.  Off-campus service teamed up SA students and faculty with local organizations in the areas of environmental, educational, justice, and poverty issues.  Sewickley Academy is setting a great example for the rest of the community, while solidifying great values in its own students.

We are so proud of our schools!
