If a child cannot learn the way I teach, then I must teach the way he learns.

QV Student Projects

It is that time of year again - many Quaker Valley student projects are in full swing.  Help support two of the many creative student projects this year!

Shoe Collection: 8th grader and cross-country member, Ricky Beatty is collecting gently used athletic cleats and running shoes to donate to an orphanage in the Philippines. A collection box will be located in Mr. Demko's room at the middle school until March 18th.  All donations are very much appreciated.

Locks of Love Donation Event: Ciara Henschke, a Quaker Valley High School student, will be hosting a Locks of Love event for her Personal Project at 1pm on Sunday, March 17th at Craig Allen Salon, 517 Broad Street in Sewickley. $20 per hair cut and all proceeds will go to Locks of Love.
It takes 10 ponytails to make one wig, so by donating your hair you can help a child who has lost his/her hair to cancer or alopecia. If you are interested in helping, please call the salon at 412-741-2887 or e-mail Ciara at qv15.henschkec@qvmail.org.

Continue checking QVSD's weekly newsletter for more personal projects happening in the community!
