Congrats to Our Friends at Valley Care Association!

Valley Care Association was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania. It is exciting for the whole community when a great non-profit like Valley Care Association is supported in this way. This generous gift will certainly be put to good use! Valley Care Association's executive director, Heather Sedlacko, accepted the grant award from Columbia Gas President, Mark Kempic during Tuesday night's meeting.

Valley Care Association is a non-profit in Sewickley whose mission is to assist the elderly and disabled improve their quality of life through various home improvement and safety initiatives. Valley Care Association's goal is to provide older or disabled adults the ability to live independently, comfortably, and safely in their own homes. They also offer Adult Day Services to bring fun activities, skill-building projects, and great community to these folks in the Sewickley Valley region.

The NiSource Charitable Foundation played a role in this grant award, with its targeted goal to provide assistance in the constituent areas in which they offer services. These grants contian a focus on senior citizens and first responders, making the Valley Care Association the perfect receipient for this grant award.
