Rainy, but fun, Unleashed

"What a difference a day makes..."

Last Friday was one of those rare Pittsburgh Spring Days--clear blue sky, a few popcorn-perfect clouds, and warm temperatures. The evening was perfect for the Spring Gallery Walk. But Saturday, for Sewickley Unleashed? Yeah, well, not so much. Rainy, chilly, grey...

But that didn't dampen anyone's enthusiasm--be it two-legged or four-legged. LCC was blessed to have wonderful volunteers at our location of Sewickley Story Time. Big thanks go out to Karen Fadzen, our story teller; Liza Sipe, the Laughlin site coordinator, Ray and Barbara, and their beautiful collies, Jeremiah and Dakota; and Diane, from Animal Friends. We talked with about 16 kids and a dozen or so adults; not bad for a soggy 60 minutes! Thanks, too, to our Story Time Partners Dani Thomas at the Sewickley Public Library; and Brenda Fisk at Fun Buy The Pound.
